Student who receive 5 medal credits during their high school career in Computer Science AND/OR Business (see business course offerings) will receive a medal at graduation!

 

Washington High School has a rich computer science curriculum which includes the following course offerings:

A.P. Computer Science Principles(4 medal credits) - A fun, exploratory course that is an easy way to start your journey into Advanced Placement and college credit.

Computer Essentials(1 medal credit) - Introductory Course.  Wanting to explore comp. sci?  We do exploratory units in Graphic Design, Web Design, Hardware, Programming and Networking and Network Security

Computer Science(1 medal credit) - Do you want to become an App Developer?  Than this class is for you.  learn the basics of object oriented programming and progress into App Development and Java programming

Web Design(1 medal credit) - basic and advanced topics in web coding and the use of WYSIWIG editors

Video Game Marketing and Design(1 medal credit) - beginning and advanced programming of Video Games

Advanced Video Game Marketing and Design(1 medal credit) - by completing normal video game marketing and design with a grade of C+ or higher, and with instructor approval, students may take this course and continue game and app. development in the platform of their choice.

A.P. Computer Science - advanced placement programming using Java.  DO NOT CONFUSE THIS WITH THE INTRO. CLASS, A.P. COMPUTER SCIENCE PRINCIPLES (see above)
